Amsterdam University College OMPT Requirements: Variant by Major

Amsterdam University College (AUC) is a liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with both the University of Amsterdam and VU Amsterdam, and it ties its OMPT requirement to which major track you intend to follow rather than to a single college-wide test.

Sciences major

Applicants intending the Sciences major are asked for OMPT-B or OMPT-G, per AUC's own admissions page and OMPT's published case study on AUC.

Social Sciences major

The Social Sciences major requires OMPT-E, which replaced an earlier OMPT-A requirement — a useful reminder that these mappings do change over time, so always check the current version rather than relying on older articles or forum posts.

Humanities major

The Humanities major requires OMPT-C.

On the minimum score

We found a commonly cited figure of 70% for the Sciences-major OMPT-B route circulating in secondary sources, but were not able to independently confirm this exact number directly on AUC's own current admissions page at the time of writing. Rather than repeat an unconfirmed number, we'd recommend confirming your major's current minimum score directly with AUC admissions before finalizing your preparation target.

Deadlines worth knowing regardless of your major

AUC asks that OMPT results be submitted before 1 July for a September start, with priority given to submissions made before the 1 December early-bird deadline or the 1 February regular deadline. Given the multi-month gap between those priority deadlines and the final 1 July cutoff, students who test early get a meaningfully longer runway to retest if needed compared to students who wait until the final weeks.

Preparing for your specific major

Because AUC's three majors point to three different variants (B/G, E, and C respectively), a generic "AUC OMPT prep" plan isn't precise enough — confirm your major's variant first, then prepare against that specific difficulty range. Exam.ify's practice tests are organized by difficulty level with full timed mock exams and worked solutions, supporting preparation across this range.
