Kaunas University of Technology OMPT Requirements

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) in Lithuania applies its mathematics examination requirement specifically to undergraduate and postgraduate applicants holding certain third-country foreign qualifications, with one of the higher minimum-score bars and stricter deadlines we found in this research series.

The requirement

KTU's admissions page states a minimum compulsory mathematics examination score of 75%. The university's materials reference OMPT in this context, though we found the variant referenced inconsistently across sources (with both OMPT-D and OMPT-A mentioned in different places) — if the specific variant letter matters for your preparation, confirm it directly with KTU admissions before committing to one difficulty level over another.

Attempt limit: strict

KTU allows a maximum of two attempts; results from a third attempt are explicitly not accepted. This is a firmer cap than several other institutions in this series and leaves essentially no room for a "let's see how it goes" first attempt.

The deadline that matters most

The exam must be completed by 1 April of the application year, and results are valid for a maximum of two years. Combined with the two-attempt cap, this means your testing timeline needs to be planned well before the April cutoff — if your first attempt in, say, February falls short, you have a narrow window for a second attempt before the deadline closes.

How to plan around a 75% bar with only two attempts and an April deadline

Given this combination of constraints, we'd recommend targeting your first attempt no later than January of your application year, so a February or March resit remains realistically possible if needed, and using a full private diagnostic mock exam beforehand so your first official attempt isn't your first real test of your preparation.

Exam.ify's full-length practice tests, with complete worked solutions, are built to support preparation at this higher score threshold. As always, confirm the current variant, score, and deadline directly with KTU, since requirements can change between admission cycles.
