NHH Norwegian School of Economics OMPT Requirements

NHH Norwegian School of Economics publishes a clear, directly confirmed OMPT requirement for its BSc in Business, Economics and Data Science — one of only two Norwegian institutions with detailed, verifiable OMPT requirements we found in this research series (alongside BI Norwegian Business School).

The requirement

NHH requires OMPT-F with a minimum score of 60% for applicants to the BSc in Business, Economics and Data Science who need to demonstrate their math level.

Attempts and score validity

A maximum of two attempts is allowed; a third attempt's results are not accepted. Your score must also be no more than two years old as of the application deadline.

A deadline that's earlier than most

NHH's documentation deadline is 15 February — noticeably earlier than the summer deadlines (June/July) we found at several Dutch universities in this series. If you're targeting NHH alongside other universities with later deadlines, don't let the later deadlines at your other target schools lull you into delaying your NHH preparation and testing timeline.

Which NHH programs don't require it

Worth noting: NHH's other programs — the general BBA and the Bachelor in Digital Business — do not require OMPT, though the university describes strong math skills as "recommended" for these tracks. If you're applying broadly across NHH's programs, only the Business, Economics and Data Science track carries the formal OMPT requirement.

Preparing for OMPT-F at NHH's 60% bar and February deadline

Given the earlier deadline and two-attempt cap, we'd recommend starting your preparation in the autumn before your application year rather than waiting until January, so a first attempt in December or early January leaves room for a resit before mid-February if needed.
