Tilburg University maintains a dedicated mathematics-requirements page for applicants without a qualifying prior math background, and OMPT is among the accepted routes for demonstrating the required math level — but unlike some of the other universities we've covered in this series, we want to be transparent about what we could and couldn't independently verify for this article.

What is publicly confirmed

Tilburg University lists OMPT as an accepted math-proficiency test alongside other options for applicants whose prior education doesn't automatically satisfy the university's math entry requirement, on its official "mathematics requirements" admissions page.

What we could not independently confirm

General web searches suggest a commonly cited minimum score in the region of 70% for several Tilburg programs, and OMPT-A specifically referenced for applicants without a Dutch diploma — but at the time of writing, we were not able to independently verify the exact variant-to-program mapping or the precise current minimum score directly from Tilburg's own admissions page for every program. Rather than repeat a number we can't stand behind, we're flagging this openly.

Why this honesty matters more than a confident-sounding guess

A wrong minimum-score number in a prep guide isn't a small inconvenience — if you plan your preparation around a threshold that turns out to be wrong, you could either under-prepare for a genuinely higher bar, or spend weeks over-preparing past a bar that was already lower. For a decision this consequential, "verify it yourself on the official page" is more useful advice than a number we can't confirm.
